Thank you to our many carvers that traveled long distances and helped at the Decoy Show! The Maumee Bay Carvers held their 42nd Decoy Show and Swap Meet at the Magee Marsh Visitors Center located on the shores of Lake Erie, Oak Harbor, OH., Sat., August 10, 2024. Carvers from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio entered 68 working decoys and shorebirds in four contests. Lake Erie Singles, Pairs, and IWCA style Working Class entries were floated in a water-filled tank and judged. The working shorebirds were stick-mounted on a base. The contests are based on the tradition and heritage of basic, functional, hunting-style decoys. The contests were held at the newly-renovated Magee Marsh Visitors Center.
