The Maumee Bay Carvers held their 40th annual Decoy Show and Swap & Sell Event Sat. August 20, 2022 in a new location, Side Cut Metropark Riverview Shelter in Maumee, OH. The day was sunny and attendees watched the deer, paddle boarders and fishermen enjoy the spectacular Maumee River.
Over 50 people attended the event. Many park visitors walked over to the shelter to watch the judging and they expressed their appreciation for the hand-carved decoys. Five contests were held: Working Class/IWCA Style Decoy, Working Class/IWCA Style Decoy novice, Lake Erie 2-Bird Rig, Lake Erie Singles and Gunning Shorebird.
